NO WAY! You can feel free to sign up for your appropriate age group know matter your knowledge of the game. There’s always a wide degree of proficiency in each group and room for any level of player!

We recommend each athlete wear comfortable athletic attire. Each player will be provided with a reversible pinnie they are required to bring to each practice. Also for the player’s safety, hair should pulled or pinned back to prevent hair falling in their face. NO CLEATS ALLOWED.

All practices are held at the sunken meadow behind the tennis courts near the softball field at Los Gatos High School. (2 New York Ave. Los Gatos, CA 95030)

Performance Field Hockey hosts all practices on a weather proof turf, so we practice rain or shine. We take proper precautions to ensure our athletes health and safety are always a priority.

Yes. As is the common requirement among almost ALL Bay Area based youth field hockey programs, as well as throughout the country, we require each athlete to be a USFHA member prior to their first day of participation in the program.

USA Hockey is the governing body over all of the programs in the United States. As a registered club with the USFHA we receive insurance coverage for each athlete who is participating int he program. In addition, should the athlete travel to participate in any tournament with the club, they’ll need to be registered prior to tournament registration in order to play. You’ll also receive their newsletter which will keep you up to date on all US Team news and events in our area, and across the US.

Unfortunately we do not offer refunds following the 1st session of instruction or prorate our sessions as we staff our programs to accommodate the volume of athletes confirmed prior to the first day of each season.

Yes! It is always our hope to attend tournaments at local CA universities supporting the sport as well as travel with our high school athletes to compete against other athletes across the state, country and globe. You’ll be able to find tournament info here on the Program Info page once posted.
